I am attempting to re-write the apocrophal story that John Greenleaf Whittier wrote about Frederick, Maryland residing and ardant Unionist, Barbara Fritschie. I have posted Whittier's original poem and some notes I found on the internet to flesh out the story. I will be addind stanzas from my 3 Part poem as I write them. I( will leave a space for comments or critique on either my developing poem or Mr Whittier's original.
